Chimney

Why are Filters Required?

Filters are required , so that the oil does not reach directly to the motor of the Chimney and it also increase the Life of Chimney , so it becomes all the more important that we choose the right filter intelligently with right information.

"Smoke gentrated while cooking is equivalent to approximately 40 cigrates inhaled a day ."

A good chimney inhales this smoke and keep us healthy.
Types of Filter

Cassette or Mesh Filters

Cassette or Mesh filters should be washed in warm detergent water every 8-10 days. Using a harsh detergent will scar the surface. You can also remove the internal mesh layers and clean them separately.

Baffle Filter

Warm water with detergent will unclog the pores. Cassette or Mesh filters should be washed in warm detergent water every 8-10 days. Using a harsh detergent will scar the surface. You can also remove the internal mesh layers and clean them separately.

Charcoal Filter

These are installed in the kitchen where there is no exhaust . It consumes all types of smoke, smell, grease, and oil. It has to be changed within 180 days of its use.

Hobs

Ceramic or Glass Hob
  • Remove all loose pieces of food first, so you’re just working with the stubborn stains.
  • Apply a small amount of cleaning fluid specially designed for ceramic hobs or glass hobs. This fluid will be completely smooth in texture, with nothing that could scrape and mark the hob. Always read the directions on the label first before using any cleaning product.
  • Allow the cleaning fluid to soak in, but not dry completely. You want it to soften the hard, dried food, but not become difficult to remove.
  • Use a microfibre cloth to clean the majority of the ceramic hob. If there are areas that need a bit more elbow grease, try using some scrunched up newspaper. It’s a rougher texture, yet should still be soft enough to not cause damage. Always try on a small area first and stop if you notice any scratches.
Induction or Electric Hob
  • Turn off the Electric Supply to the Hob.
  • Remove all loose food and dirt, making it easier to see which areas need special attention.
  • Apply warm, soapy water to the hob using a soft cloth. A good kitchen spray targeted at lifting food grease is best, but you can also use either dishwashing soap or even a good quality liquid laundry detergent – both do the job well.
  • Dry the induction hob with a soft cloth and then apply some white vinegar to the cooker top using a clean cloth for an extra shine.
  • Finally, buff the cooker top using a clean cloth.

Dishwasher

Pull out the Racks

Wipe down the interior with a cloth and warm, soapy water. Scrub the racks’ wheels (where bacteria hide) with a toothbrush.

Fill the detergent cup with White Vinegar

Run an empty cycle to wipe out lime deposits. You can also dump a packet of powdered lemonade into the detergent cup and run the washer empty. The citric acid breaks up stains.

Dust the fan slats

A vacuum’s brush attachment is best.

Clean the Door

If the door is plastic, wipe it with a cloth and all-purpose cleaner. For stainless steel, dampen a cloth with water and dishwashing liquid, wring it out, and wipe the door with the grain.

Dry with a clean cloth.

Microwave

Prep for cleaning

Place a coffee mug filled with water and a few slices of lemon in the center of the microwave and run the machine on high power for three minutes. Let the lemon water sit inside for three more minutes. The steam will soften food spills, and the lemon aroma will eliminate odors.

Remove the turntable

Scrub the wheels with a toothbrush.

Clean the exterior

Wipe the exterior with a cloth sprayed with all-purpose cleaner, making sure to clean the fan slats or dip a cloth in water and dishwashing liquid, wring it out, and wipe with the grain.
